TASTER SESSIONS
Taking people climbing for the first time can be not only expensive but inaccessible unless you or someone you know is already a climber. We have designed short, relaxed, and fun-filled sessions for young people from schools and community groups local to our partnering gyms, to have-a-go at the popular styles of climbing, for free.
Alternating between Bouldering and Top Roping, dependent on the location, our instructors will guide children through their first, fun-filled climbing experience.

SUPERVISION TRAINING
Once your child has had a go at climbing, they may want to continue. This can get expensive if you are to rely on external supervision such as climbing clubs. Another option is to take them yourselves; climbing centres require adults that wish to supervise minors are adequately trained and possess enough knowledge to keep themselves and others safe. Unless you are a climber yourself, it is hard to acquire these skills. Most centres offer courses designed to teach these skills to adults but they can be costly and often difficult to attend due to work, childcare or other commitments.
We provide these courses for free and they will be tailored to your individual needs. Where possible they will be in a group of no more than 6 people or may be 1:1. They are booked according to demand so if you wish to attend one, please get in touch and we will make it happen.
We are also able to provide support and assistance with the process of registration to climbing centres which can be tricky the first few times. If you need help, let us know and we’ll be happy to help get you and your child set up!

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Representation is important. Young people and adults alike should feel like they can relate to the people they learn from. There is a severe lack of BAME instructors and coaches within the climbing industry.
It will come as no surprise that the process of qualifying as an instructor is costly and time consuming. Although we agree it is warranted to be a long process, the financial hit can be large and unaffordable for too many, so we will support budding instructors and coaches by subsidising training and offering exclusive access to assistance and guidance throughout.
This access will include but not be limited to: Access to nationally recognised qualification pathways such as Indoor Climbing Assistant (ICA), Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI), Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) and both Foundation or Development Coaching.

OUTDOOR CLIMBING
Making the transition from indoor to outdoor climbing is often intimidating. A lack of understanding about where to go, what to take and how to stay safe can make it feel almost impossible and like diving in at the deep end.
To make things easier, we will facilitate trips with Qualified Instructors, connect experienced climbers with beginners, organise outings and meet ups.
We also offer information and training on safe ways to connect with nature to care for and protect ourselves and our environment whilst out on climbing trips.
